Use this page to make a donation to the Centre for Effective Altruism from the United Kingdom or most other places worldwide. If you are donating from the United States, please use a donation option for the United States.

80,000 Hours

You can also use any option to make a donation to 80,000 Hours, which CEA fiscally sponsors. If you are using a payment method other than Credit/Debit Card, please email development [at] centreforeffectivealtruism [dot] org with the amount you have donated, otherwise your donation will be allocated to CEA's unrestricted funds.

PayPal fees are higher (1.4% + £0.20 for donations in British Pounds (£), and 4.9% + £0.20 for other currencies), but it allows you to make recurring monthly donations. If you pay tax in the UK and would like to claim GiftAid please email us your UK address

Bank Transfer

Please fill out your donation details on our online platform and we’ll send you our banking details. Lower fees make this our preferred way to receive large donations in other currencies, or from outside the UK.

Gift Aid

If you pay tax in the UK, would like to claim Gift Aid, and have not ticked a Gift Aid declaration for your donation, please email us with your full name and UK address.

Tax Deductibility in Australia/Canada

Unfortunately we cannot yet offer tax deductible donations from Canada or Australia. Donors from these countries can give using any of the methods listed above.

Donations to the Centre for Effective Altruism are split among our existing and new projects depending on where they will do the most good.
